The E2C Online Format
Harrisburg University combines online learners and face-to-face learners in the same instructor-led sessions using Adobe Connect in a format called ‘E2C’. Online learners must attend at the same day/time as classroom learners, but can participate from any location. Online learners receive the same instruction that face-to-face learners receive while enjoying the benefits and convenience of attending virtually.
Beyond the ability to speak/listen in real-time, Harrisburg University utilizes Adobe Connect’s ‘Pods’ and functionality to create a virtual learning environment that mirrors key classroom functions.
You do not need to purchase any software to participate in the E2C online format. You will access the Adobe Connect virtual classroom through a web browser and a URL link provided to you. Harrisburg University provides Adobe Connect access free-of-charge to E2C online students. There are scheduled technology and set up sessions for E2C classes prior to the start of each semester. The testing sessions can be attended virtually and focus on testing your connection to the virtual classroom and orienting you to the screen layout and functionality. These dates will be provided to you prior to the start of the semester.
