Educational Pioneers Celebrate Partnership with Harrisburg University

Harrisburg University of Science and Technology is honored to welcome four educational pioneers to campus May 22-24.

Dr. Augustine F. Pinto, Madam Grace Pinto, Snehal Pinto and Ryan Pinto, who head Ryan International Group of Institutions, India’s largest group of privately owned K-12 schools, will visit to celebrate the group’s educational partnership with HU, one of the foremost science and technology universities in the U.S.

The Pinto family will tour HU’s state-of-the-art campus in downtown Harrisburg, meet students and faculty and spend time with regional leaders during their stay in Pennsylvania’s capital city.

Founded in a garage by the organization’s Chairman, Dr. Augustine Pinto, in 1976, Ryan International Group today serves students and parents across 40 cities in 18 states of India. The group also has built a presence in the United Arab Emirates.

Under the leadership of Dr. Pinto, and Managing Director Madam Grace Pinto, Ryan International Group is universally celebrated for pioneering a new style of education in India, one focused on holistic student development. The group seeks to instill in students what is defined as KASSM: Knowledge, Attitude, Skills and Social and Moral Values.

Ryan International Group boasts 18,000 faculty members, who educate 270,000 students at 130 schools. Snehal Pinto, the organization’s director, and CEO Ryan Pinto, help steer the group, which opens four to five new schools a year and graduates 30,000 students, annually.

An organization of this size and stature could have partnered with one of many other science and technology universities in the U.S. Ryan International Group chose HU, because we provide its students with a seamless transition to life at a four-year university that prepares them for today’s most lucrative and challenging careers in the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields.

HU’s experience in educating international students has attracted students from 73 countries, many who call India home.

Since forging a partnership with the group last year, HU has welcomed well-prepared, hard-working Ryan International Group graduates to our campus, and we also have taken our programs to India.

At HU, Ryan International Group graduates find a university that fosters a diverse community of learners that provides access and support to students.

HU welcomes the Pinto family, and Ryan International Group students searching for innovative academic and research programs in courses designed to meet local and global needs.

Accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, Harrisburg University is a private non-profit university offering bachelor and graduate degree programs in science, technology, and math fields to a diverse student body.
