“The Fracking Debate” Lecture

The community is invited to hear a lecture by fracking expert and author Daniel Raimi at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology on March 2. Raimi will give a presentation on the issues and opportunities related to the fracking industry and oil and gas development across the U.S.
The no-charge event, presented by the Center for Environment, Energy, and Economy at HU, is part of a tour in support of Raimi’s new book, “The Fracking Debate,” a synthesis of scientific research and stories Raimi compiled while studying the nation’s growing oil and gas production industry.
Raimi, a senior research associate at Resources for the Future, who also teaches energy policy at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan, and is a faculty affiliate with the University of Michigan Energy Institute, will speak in Room 1151 at the University.
The event will begin with networking and a complimentary lunch from 11:30 a.m. to noon. The speech begins at noon. A Q&A with the author will follow the presentation.
