Nayeem serves as the Residence Director for Harrisburg University. He manages the University’s Residence Life & Housing operations. In his role, some of his responsibilities include setting residence life policies and practices, housing assignments, on-campus programming, mediation and conflict resolution, counseling students, handling on-campus mail and judiciary systems, coordinating with campus security and facility maintenance services and managing housing work-order and trash removal systems.
Nayeem strives to create a safe, academic and engaging residential community and helps students acclimate with campus life. He supervises the Resident Assistants, who serve as peer educators and student leaders in the residential community.
Nayeem has a Masters of Public Administration from Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelors of Arts in Business Economics from Bloomsburg University. He also earned certifications in public budgeting and financial management and also in the use of statistical software for public administrators. Nayeem has been working in student affairs for about four years prior to joining HU. He spent three of them as a Community Assistant for Bloomsburg University’s Office of Residence Life and one as Assistant Coordinator for Pennsylvania State University’s Residence Life Office. He is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Association of College and University Housing Officers (MACUHO).
