An article written by HU Experiential Learning Coordinator Rebekah Harriger has been selected for publication in the soon-to-be-released book: “Intern Bridge Inc. guide Total Internship Management – The Employer’s Guide to Building and Sustaining the Ultimate Internship Program (3rd Edition).”
Harriger’s article, “Career Connected Commuter,” was among those chosen to be included in the section of the book titled, “Readings to Enhance Your Internship Program.”
The articles chosen for this section help employers enhance their internship program and create awareness. Harriger’s article specifically outlines how employers can adapt and learn about commuter students to better accommodate and enhance their internship experiences at their companies.
The article expands on Harriger’s interest and research of commuter student populations among college and universities.
Through her research, Harriger strives to better understand how to serve underrepresented student populations at colleges and universities.
“My desire for my research is for all students to engage and experience impactful internships and career development opportunities to better prepare for their future,” Harriger said.
