Frank Fernandez is Director of Institutional and Grant Research at Harrisburg University. He works on areas related to institutional research, institutional effectiveness, and grant support. Frank enjoys working with faculty colleagues to apply for external funding. Additionally, he helps identify grant opportunities to improve and expand HU programs and services. Frank draws on training from the Association for Institutional Research to work with the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS).
Frank is completing the PhD program in higher education at The Pennsylvania State University and is a fellow with the Institute of Higher Education at the University of Florida. He researches and writes about policy issues in higher education, including doctoral education, faculty research and science production, and topics related to student success. His research has been funded by the American Institutes for Research (through a contract with the National Center for Education Statistics of the U.S. Department of Education). He was a graduate student fellow of the American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education (funded by the Ford Foundation).
