David Runyon
University Librarian

David Runyon oversees all aspects of library services including managing physical and electronic collections, coordinating and presenting library and information literacy instruction, and providing reference and research support services to Harrisburg University students, faculty, and staff. David also volunteered as First Edition Creative Manager for the Star Trek Customizable Card Game’s Continuing Committee from 2011-2016 and presented on board games in libraries at the Association of College and Research Libraries’ 2013 conference. He also is co-developer of the SimGlobal learning game system.
David holds a Master of Science degree in counseling with a focus in college student personnel from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from LeTourneau University. Prior to joining the Harrisburg University community, David worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development as a researcher and monitoring analyst.
