University Ramping Up for “Let’s Play PA” Game Development Convention

On Saturday, February 18th, Harrisburg University of Science and Technology will be host to the second Let’s Play PA, a game development convention that aims to bring as many game game development students, educators, and professionals under one roof for a day of sharing, learning, and networking. This event is meant to celebrate, support, and improve the game development industry of Pennsylvania, and the public is welcome to come as well to see why, in 2015, Pennsylvania was ranked the 10th best most successful state for game development by Fortune Magazine.

Let’s Play PA will feature keynote speaker Kimberly Voll of Riot Games who has an extensive history of working both in academia and game development, indie and AAA alike. We will also have local professionals giving talks throughout the day that span a broad range of topics within both the digital and non-digital industries. The event will feature an Expo Hall where PA based game studios and educational institutions will show off their work. There will also be an UnPub ProtoZone, a section specifically geared towards tabletop game designers who need people to test their latest designs. The event will conclude with an Awards Show, where finalists from our statewide competition will be awarded within several different categories, including trophies for the most popular exhibitors in the Expo Hall.

For more information, visit http://letsplaypa.org/. Full Access Passes are $25. If you’re a PA based game studio or college that would like to be in the Expo Hall, it’s only $50. We look forward to seeing you there!
