Assistant Professor – Big Data Architectures, Harrisburg University of Science & Technology

Teach graduate courses in the Computer Science program, including Big Data Architectures. Maintain an ongoing record of scholarship and interdisciplinary/applied research projects; and participate in service/scholarly activities designed to enhance the mission of the University and Department.

Must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field; aptitude for graduate-level teaching evidenced by at least one academic year (9 months) of applicable teaching experience (full- or part-time); and a record of published research in the discipline. Teaching experience and/or research record must evidence experience building and designing distributed file systems, including Hadoop architectures; with distributed programing frameworks, including MapReduce; Hadoop ecosystem components such as Hive, Pig, Drill, Spark, and HBase; and Big Data distributions, including Cloudera, Hortonworks, and MapR.
