HU Biotechnology Professor to Present Workshop at HI-TECH National Conference

Dr. Leena Pattarkine of the Harrisburg University of Science and Technology faculty will present a workshop at the 2016 HI-TEC national conference.

The workshop, entitled “NanoGold for Health and Diagnostics:  Concepts, Applications, and Workforce Development” is scheduled for 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 26th.

The Committee had a large number of very high quality workshops to choose from and felt  this workshop would be a great addition to the program as  STEM-based initiative with workforce development element.

HI-TEC is a national conference on advanced technological education where secondary and postsecondary educators, counselors, industry professionals, trade organizations, and technicians can update their knowledge and skills. Charged with Educating America’s Technical Workforce, the event focuses on the preparation needed by the existing and future workforce for companies in the high-tech sectors that drive the nation’s economy.

Dr. Pattarkine is professor of biotechnology and director of the Capital Area Biotechnology Partnership and Nanobiotechnology Initiative.
