HU goes Over the Edge for Big Brothers Big Sisters

Congratulations to HU Associate Provost, Beverly Magda, and University Senior Accountant, Ryan Maun, for going over the edge of an 18-story building this morning!

Don’t worry, Bev and Ryan weren’t harmed. And they weren’t arrested -the feat was completely legal.

They rappelled down the 220-foot-high building in downtown Harrisburg to support the Big Brothers, Big Sisters 2nd annual “Over the Edge” fundraiser!

Several weeks ago, Bev volunteered to participate in the campaign to help raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region. Ryan graciously accepted her invite to be her rappelling partner in the event, which is seeking to raise $100,000 to provide ongoing professional support to children facing adversity, their families and volunteer mentors.
