HU professor wins Most Downloaded Paper Award, will present paper Thursday
HU Earth Systems Science Professor Dr. Michael Meyer has received the “Most Downloaded Paper” award from the journal Meteoritics & Planetary Science.
Meyer’s paper, titled “Unearthing enigmatic impact ejecta from the Plio-Pleistocene shell beds of southwest Florida,” details his monumental discovery of a previously unknown meteorite that crashed near Florida some 2-3 million years ago.
Last year, Meyer’s discovery rocked the astronomy world. Astronomy.com, International Business Times, and numerous other news outlets profiled the find.
