Professors discuss telemedicine amid COVID-19 outbreak
Harrisburg University Professors Dr. Nancy Mimm and Dr. Michael Seavers appeared on WITF radio’s Smart Talk program Friday to discuss the importance of telemedicine amid the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak.
The coronavirus pandemic has created a unique opportunity for telemedicine, as it offers access and options for people without an in-person visit to a doctor’s office. according to Mimm and Seavers. Mimm heads the University’s Master’s of Nursing program. And Seavers leads HU’s graduate Healthcare Informatics program.
