HU kicks off Cyber Fest Spirit Week


Welcome to HU Cyber Fest!

This year, since we are all social distancing during this time, we are bringing Spring Fest and Spirit Week activities to your homes! Share your HU spirit online and join us in the coming days for a series of activities and social media participation opportunities!

Theme Days:

On these days, show your HU pride by wearing clothing matching the theme of the day and post to HU’s Facebook page:  with our new Hashtag – #HUCyberFest April 6 – April 10. And don’t forget to tag HU when you post to Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat! “Separate but Together, #HUProud”

  • Monday April 6th – Mix and Match Monday!
  • Tuesday April 7th – Tie Die Tuesday!
  • Wednesday April 8th – Work Wednesday!
      • (Dress Like Your Dream Occupation)
  • Thursday April 9th – Thank HU Thursday!
      • (HU + Storm Gear Day)
  • Friday April 10th – Flashy Friday!

  • Weeklong – April 6-10 – Open Stage, Show Us Your Talent Contest
    • Students who are interested in showcasing their talents and want to share with the HU community can record their activity and post to HU’s Facebook page: with our new Hashtag – #HUCyberFest between April 6 – April 10.
  • This can be a song, dance, artwork, a poem, or recital, a story you wrote, dramatic reading of another’s story, anything of their own creation.
  • SGA will compile the submissions at the end of the week and hold a judging session for the community.
  • Winners will get prizes.
  • Student Government along with faculty, and staff will host events virtually throughout next week. Links to participate will be available on HU’s Facebook page the day of the event –
    • Monday –
      • Join us for a night of online Pictionary! Have fun drawing and guessing your classmate’s masterpieces. We will do more than one game so don’t worry if your late!
      • Time: 7 p.m.
    • Tuesday – Art Night
      • Feeling artsy lately? Bored and don’t know what to do?  Learn some fun crafts to do with everyday items in your house!
      • Time: 7 p.m.
    • Wednesday – Quarenstream
      • Hangout and chat with us as we make some food! Learn some recipes or just come out to have a chat while we are all stuck inside
      • Time: 6 p.m.
    • Thursday – Movie Night
      • Make sure to vote for the movie you want! Link here. We will be streaming the movie out so everyone can watch together and relax!
      • Time: 7 p.m.
    • Friday – Game Night
      • Join HU Librarian and Game Master David Runyon and Mia Ray in an afternoon of fun games! There will be a variety of options so please join us. Such as Kahoot, Charades, etc.
