Dr. Charles A (Chip) Shearrow, Program Lead & Associate Professor of Advanced Manufacturing at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, has been selected to present at Liveworx 19 the premier technology conference that offers the most up to date information and training on current and emerging technologies for manufacturers. He will be participating on the Industry 4.0 Educational Panel discussing how educators and industry can prepare for the impending global resource and skills gap shortage in manufacturing created by implementing Augmented and Virtual Reality, IioT, Robotics and Industry 4.0 as well as other disruptive technologies.

Additionally, he recently  presented at the 2018 Manufacturing & Logistics Symposium as the keynote speaker discussing the future of manufacturing. The presentation concentrated on the digital factory as manufacturing’s new horizon. Topics discussed included Mainstreaming New Processing, System Integrations, Internet of Things (IoT), Augmented Reality (AR), Digital Twins, Simulations, Automatous Robots, Compliant Robots, Cloud-based Technologies, Big Data and Analytics, Cybersecurity, Implementing Digital Manufacturing, Employees for Digital Manufacturing and Harrisburg University’s Assistance for the Future.
