Harrisburg University’s Marc Schodorf has a new title.

The former Lab Manager at Games User Research (GUR), the research arm of HU’s User Experience Center (UXC), has been promoted to Operations Director of the GUR. Schodorf also serves as the Lab Manager of the UXC.

Games User Research is a company that serves as a bridge between the UXC and clients. Having an independent entity oversee day-to-day operations on projects allows the center to offer students unmatched internship and work experience opportunities while ensuring clients get the best possible service. It also streamlines the process of bringing in high priority projects, Schodorf said.

And In most cases, clients who are dealing with the UXC are actually dealing with the GUR, Schodorf said.

In his new position, Schodorf said he plans to continue building GUR’s connection to HU.

“I also plan to build on the already established tradition of quality work provided clients and provide an opportunity for students to work on real word projects for AAA game studios and other clients,” Schodorf said. “I’m excited for the new direction the company is taking and looking forward to the new opportunities with our clients and HU.”
