Philadelphia Business Journal features HU trustee editorial
A thoughtful editorial written by Harrisburg University Board of Trustees member Lorina Marshall-Blake about the importance of workforce diversity has been published by the Philadelphia Business Journal.
In the piece, titled, “View workplace diversity through the lens of opportunity,” Marshall-Blake, president of Independence Blue Cross Foundation, says “Embracing diversity and inclusivity begins with mutual respect, which can be built by gaining a true understanding of an individual’s perspective. But the concept of diversity means different things to different people. The best way to understand it is simply by asking.”
