In order to increase student security as well as streamline network monitoring, we employ a network authentication package which regulates the manner in which students connect to the wireless network.

To ensure connection eligibility, you must regularly apply updates to keep your operating system up-to-date. Additionally, you will need up-to-date protection from viruses and spyware/adware (supported programs listed below). Some of these programs are free downloads from the webpage provided to the right of the application name.

Users must have administrative rights or a permission level allowing the installation and configuration of software/system settings. If you are using a work or school laptop without such permissions, please discuss the “Security Software” requirements mentioned below with your system administrator.

If you currently have a security package that is not listed or a listed option fails the test scan please contact to check compatibility. It is possible that your package can be added with an update to our system.

Your current operating system and security software configuration can be tested off campus by clicking this link: Security Test Scan. This test will inform you of any issues that need remedied for a successful network registration.
